 It doesn't suck. The thing is you have to look at the deeper meaning and not the technicalities of it all in the photo. Yes, you had the wrong ISO on a day that didn't fit it, but it's what you did with what you had that really makes this photo great.

I live the repetitions and the different things that repeat. For example the birds in the photo. One's sitting on the pole far in the background, another on the lamp post near the far left palm tree, one in the air between the two palm trees, and then another in the air between the clock and the last full palm tree just taking off in flight. The trees compliment this by there being four trees. You may say there's only 3 trees, but I see the clock as being a tree in this piece. Yeah, it's the holiday season, and what do we center out time around during the holidays, Christmas! Sorry, to offend anyone who doesn't celebrate Christmas, but this is how it relates to me, personally. The shadows are amazing and this really portrays a Winterwonderland in Florida. Great job hun.

You know, I hear those C-41 black and white films have less grain than most true black and white 100 films. Maybe not that much of a difference but this doesn't seem so bad.

Only thing I think is there's a little bit lacking of shadow detail. Now that may have been your choice or just the certain lighting to make shadows very harsh but you could've given it another stop I think. The sky wouldn't have been blown out too bad. Maybe you wanted the silhouette.

The shadows are great though.

Maybe a bit crowded. Not in terms of the area but the composition. You could've been a little closer maybe or facing the biker. For example, it's hard to distinguish the shape of things. A little more focus on just the biker may've helped.

 Good work though, I love stuff like this.

ah deir you are crazy. :) i agree with sean...you need to stop worrying about the technicalities. we love you and your incorrect iso. :giggle:

i really do love this photo. the shadows are so strong and wonderful. i love the leading lines of the bricks, and the silhouettes of the palm trees are just beautiful. i love how you've shown a different view to the "typical" holiday image. i love the idea that, no matter what it's like outside, the holiday spirit is still there. a beautiful b&w! awesome job deir.
